The Division of Student Affairs and the Office of Undergraduate Education are excited to announce the Student Success Internship (SSI) program, which provides opportunities for undergraduate students to build experience and skills related to their career ambitions and integrated with their academic learning.
About 30 funded positions will be available for the 2017-18 academic year. Each intern will be required to work on special projects 10 to 18 hours per week and can earn up to $4,000 each. Funding is provided by the UC Office of the President at no cost to the units offering internships.
Staff and faculty members are encouraged to submit proposals for internships online. Participation requires that “mentor-supervisors” commit to regular meetings with the interns and be willing to design and assess the learning outcomes of the students’ work in the internships and their overarching learning in the co-curriculum.
Submissions are due Monday, Sept. 25. For information, contact Brian O’Bruba in the Office of Leadership, Service and Career.
